COP28 deal: ‘Step change’ for renewables – but ‘long future’ for fossil fuels
The COP28 climate summit in Dubai closed today (13 December) with an agreement calling for global renewable energy capacity to be tripled by 2030, though a call for a “phase-out” of fossil fuels was left out of the final text.
