‘Unprecedented’: Wind generated more electricity than gas in the EU last year — report

More of the EU's electricity was produced from wind than gas for the first time in 2023, helping the bloc achieve a record fall in power sector emissions as fossil-fuel use declined and renewables surged, according to a new report by energy think tank Ember.
