The latest project updates

USA: Avangrid and Statkraft have announced the signing of a Virtual Power Purchase Agreement (VPPA), whereby Statkraft will receive Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) from Avangrid’s 300MW Streator Cayuga Ridge South wind farm in Illinois.

GERMANY: Permits have been issued for Ostwind 3’s 4km onshore route and a substation in Brünzow, near Lubmin. The offshore cable route had already been approved. The infrastructure will serve Iberdrola’s 315MW Windanker offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea.

SWEDEN: With financial close achieved, Vasa Vind is set to begin construction of the 36MW Fröskog wind farm in Åmål, Västra Götaland County. Construction of roads and foundations will commence in May 2024, with delivery and installation of six V162-6.0/6.2 MW turbines scheduled for the second half of 2025.
