Goldwind Americas appoints new CEO

Goldwind Americas, the US-based division of Chinese turbine manufacturing major Goldwind, has promoted Zuo Feng to the role of chief executive.

Zuo Feng joined Goldwind Americas last year as its vice president of construction, operations and services, and has worked at for the Chinese turbine manufacturer for 15 years. 

Prior to joining the Americas division, Zuo worked in several roles at the company, including as director of project management and he is credited with helping oversee the installation of over 3GW of Goldwind turbines. 

He holds a bachelor's and a master's degree from the Institute of Electrical Engineering at Beijing Jiaotong University.

BloombergNEF named Goldwind as the world’s leading wind turbine supplier in 2023, with 16.4GW of its machines installed last year. The vast majority of this capacity (95%) was in its home market. 

“The North American market holds immense significance in Goldwind's internationalization strategy, and I am honored to serve the Goldwind Americas team in this capacity… Goldwind is well-positioned to capture an even greater market opportunity in the U.S., Canada, and Central America,” Zuo said.

Zuo succeeds former chief executive of Goldwind Americas, David Sale.
